All You Need Is A Ball Campaign

Background

In 2021, Pelé Soccer became a sponsor of The 10z Team, a non-profit organization that works with underserved youth organizations. Pelé Soccer located in Times Square donated equipment and money to the 10z Team for unaccompanied minors in the greater NYC region.

Pelé Soccer in collaboration with the 10z Team wanted to start a campaign where donors and people can donate soccer balls to several youth organizations in New York City.

My Role

  • Pitched the campaign to Pele and Pele Soccer Shop manager for buy-in
  • Executed the creative, content & execution
  • Produced the intro video
  • Created the social media graphics for the campaign

The Concept

We landed on All You Need Is A Ball as our campaign.

The idea behind this was to show that you don’t need fancy equipment to play soccer. All you need is a ball. We felt that message was important especially because of how popular soccer is around the world. There are many children who can’t afford to play soccer in other countries and wish they could play soccer. Buy adding this one line we felt like it was enough to get the message across

The Execution

We believed in the power of sport and how it can positively influence children. We created a intro video of what 10z Team’s message was and how it resonated with Pele. We wanted to create a campaign that would allow soccer fans and shoppers at Pele’s store to resonate with the campaign. Shoppers in NYC would have the opportunity to pay for a soccer ball and donate it to the 10z Team. We created a social media campaign and had a sign in Times Square for this campaign.
